At Valley View Veterinary Clinic, we provide a full range of services including routine checkups, vaccinations, medical and surgical procedures, dental care, and boarding services for your pet. As certified and experienced veterinarians, we are passionate about our work and look forward to welcoming you and providing the highest level of care to your pet.
Regular check up exams are essential to keeping your pet in their best health. It allows us to develop a baseline for your pet and detect any issues before they become serious. In addition, we provide the necessary vaccinations for your pet in order to prevent several diseases. To note, Iowa law requires all dogs over 6 months of age to be vaccinated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian. For a 3 year rabies vaccination, Iowa law requires it to be given on or before the due date. If the rabies vaccination is given after your pet's vaccination due date, they will be given a 1 year rabies vaccination.
We know that surgical procedures require the highest level of skill and precision. Our surgical veterinarians are equipped with the latest medical technology and trained with the skills needed to provide the best care possible for your animal. We strive to provide the best communication throughout the surgical process, including what to expect before, during and after your pet's surgery. Please rest assured that your pet will be in good hands.
We provide the latest, diagnostic digital x-rays to assist us in the diagnosis of your pet and allow us to determine the best treatment for your pet. X-Rays are not only used to look at bones for things such as fractures, but also can be used to determine if your pet has pneumonia, a tumor or has ingested an object.
Routine dental care is important to not only keep your pet's teeth clean but also prevent dental diseases. Our clinic offers full dental cleanings and dental x-rays for your pets care. Early signs of dental disease include bad breath, yellow tartar build up, and red, swollen gums. Please talk to your veterinarian at your next visit if you would like to learn more about dental care for your pet.
Surgical Laser is offered for cutting and cauterizing tissue during surgical procedures. Surgical lasers help reduce bleeding and swelling during surgery. Our surgeons will help you determine if laser surgery is the appropriate course of action for your pet's procedure.
Cold Laser Therapy is non-invasive and utilizes light to stimulate cell regeneration and increase blood circulation. Laser therapy can be used for things such as pain relief and injury recovery. It has no known side effects and is considered safe for your pet.
If you are traveling with your pet, you may need a pet health certificate. After a thorough examination of your pet, your veterinarian can provide a certificate of veterinary inspection (CVI). This documentation certifies that your pet is disease free, lists current vaccinations, and details your pet's age, breed, and microchip information (if they have one). You can only obtain a CVI from licensed, USDA accredited veterinarian. We offer pet health certificates for both USA and international travel.
We offer a safe, clean environment for your pet to stay in while you are away. Our friendly, caring staff are here to provide excellent care for your pet 7 days a week.
